NEW KARDEX Shuttle® XPcrane Vertical Lift Module (VLM)
Principle
The Kardex Shuttle XPcrane Vertical Lift Module (VLM) is an enclosed
system of vertically arranged trays, an extraction platform and a
series of computerized controls that allow operators to stay in one
location while up to millions of items can be delivered automatically
(Patent Pending).
This system is comprised of a series of
vertical modules with one central crane delivering items to an
ergonomically positioned workstation.
KARDEX Shuttle XPcrane VLM can consist of up to 12 single modules and
have a storage capacity of 5.200 m² with footprint of only 74 m²

Vertical Lift Systems
The Kardex Shuttle® is a
computer controlled automated vertical lift, storage and
retrieval system.
Like most successful products it has been improved through new
version releases and is now on its fourth generation model,
having recently introduced new technologies and materials to
ensure that the technology onboard remains at the forefront of
automated logistics solutions.
Functionally, stock within the Shuttle® remains
stationary on front and rear tray locations.
On request a movable extractor unit travels vertically between
the two columns of trays and pulls the requested pallet from its
location and brings it to an access point.
The operator then picks or replenishes stock and the tray is
returned to its home.

The Shuttle® XP is a high density and dynamic
vertical lift system.
The Shuttle® XP builds upon the tremendous
success of the previous Shuttle® NT model.
It is
built to maximise on your ceiling height with units
available up to 30 metres high. One unit can carry a gross
load of 60 tonnes or more.
The Shuttle® XP is a fully automated and
intelligent product which will simultaneously measure, weigh
and allocate products to be stored in the most space
efficient location within the Shuttle®.
Combined with the Kardex software PowerPick® 5000
you will be able to maximize the efficient use of your
inventory giving details of availability, transactional
history, and space utilisation to boost your productivity
